Westinghouse TV

This was my first TV. I picked it up at a Hamfest many years ago. It turned out to have a bad tuner, so I wired up an older RCA tuner which worked out fine, except that there was no place to mount it or the power supply. I would up building a bigger plywood cabinet, and ran the selector shaft out the new front panel.

The channel indicator knob didn't fit, so I took a rotary switch wafer and installed it on the rear end of the selector shaft, and wired it up to some light bulbs which were placed behind a piece of paper with the channel numbers written on it. This was one of the first digital channel displays. Part of the display is visible behind the rabbit ears.

Next to the TV is a stack of Mad magazines. Some things never change.
