This old RCA mike was an accessory for a disc recorder. Not a Compact Disc, but a vinyl record.

This is a Shure Brothers double button carbon mike, the same thing they used in the old days of radio.

This carbon mike was put out by Philmore. It was intended to be connected to the detector tube in a radio set. When the button was pushed, your voice would come out of the radio.

I imagine it was rather difficult to do this convincingly because the cord was only about 24 inches long.
