MAD Stuff

MAD came out with parody records, included in the magazine as vinyl soundsheets. This one was a sooundtrack for the "All in the Family" parody.

"Makin' Out" was a typical teen lament song. Not as much fun as "Nose Job", or "It's A Gas", but still fun.

Q: How many grooves does a record have?

A: Two. One on each side.

Well, not always. This record had 4 different endings, depending on where the needle landed. It was carefully cut with 4 grooves on one side, all running next to each other.

The coolest thing about this record is Alfred's face, particularly the spindle hole in his cavity.

This issue of 73 is a collector's item. It features many parodies of MAD's regular features of the day.

Honestly - doesn't this version of Alfred look a lot like a certain software magnate?
